The winter weather is off to an enthusiastic start, and we want to make sure everyone understands our snow removal procedures. Following these snowplowing and snow-clearing guidelines will help keep our community safe and accessible for all this winter.
- Streets Come First. All streets will be plowed first as our top priority to ensure emergency vehicles can access every part of our community.
- Park Off-Street When Possible. Please keep your vehicle in your driveway during snow events. If you don’t have off-street parking available, give our office a call, and we’ll work with you to arrange parking in an empty lot.
- Timing Your Driveway Clearing Wait until the snowplows have finished clearing the streets before you tackle your own driveway, if possible. When you do clear your driveway, please clear the entrance from side to side; this helps prevent snow from ending up back in the street.
- Driveway Plowing Assistance We’ll do our best to help plow your driveway when there’s a significant snowfall. Here’s what you need to know to obtain assistance:
- No seasonal lists: You’ll need to call and request driveway plowing each time it snows; we don’t maintain an automatic list.
- When to call: Contact us Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 12 PM, but only after the roads have been cleared and the snow has stopped falling.
- Sidewalk Assistance Unfortunately, we don’t have the staff to shovel individual sidewalks. If you need help with this, please call the office, and we can refer you to local services.
We thank everyone in advance for their cooperation! If we all work together, this should be a safe and efficient winter season for everyone.
