Family-Owned

For almost 60 years, New Durham Estates has been family-owned and operated by three generations of the Fath Family. It all began when Mel Fath was working for Mobil Oil, and a union strike led him to start a part-time job selling mobile homes. That temporary job sparked an interest, and from there, Mel and his wife, Thelma, began the manufactured home community. 

Today, residents get to know their neighbors as well as the family and employees who help care for the community. The Fath Family has lived and worked alongside their neighbors and has a personal understanding of what it means to call the community home. They treat neighbors like they would family, prioritize concerns, and know firsthand what manufactured homeownership is like. The employees are treated like family, too, fostering the same sense of care and connection they provide to residents. This is the kind of family atmosphere that you are lucky to find.

New Durham Estates is proud to call Westville home. Being located in Westville gives residents access to larger cities while still offering that small-town comfort and rural lifestyle. The town’s charm and character have a deep-rooted history dating back to 1851, growing from its early days as a shipping and railroad stop to the community it is today.
