It seems like we were just enjoying the last warm days of summer, and now our fall calendar is filling up quickly! This month at New Durham Estates, we have lots to look forward to. From gathering with neighbors to showing off your creativity, there are ways to enjoy October right here at home.
Here are a few events to add to your calendar:
New Durham Estates Fall Bash
Kick off the change of season with some community fun at our Fall Bash on Friday, October 9th from 4 to 7 p.m. We are excited to welcome a new season and celebrate the neighbors that make our community feel like home! Get to know your neighbors, participate in games, fish, and enjoy some good food! Please note that this event is exclusively for New Durham Estates residents and family.
What to bring:
- Lawn chairs
- Fishing pole, if you’d like to fish

Autumn Home Decor Contest
New Durham Estates residents, are you ready to show off your decorating skills? Whether your style is spooky, sweet, or somewhere in between, get creative and have fun! Try adding carved pumpkins to your porch, festive Halloween lights, or inflatables to your yard.
Want to participate? To enter the contest, snap a photo and email it to office@newdurhamest.com. Photos will be accepted until October 26th. The winner will be announced on our social media and in our next Friends & Neighbors Newsletter.
Halloween Costume Contest
Start planning your costume and get ready to show off your Halloween spirit to be crowned the winner of the New Durham Estates 2026 Halloween Costume Contest. The costume contest will have two age groups, 12 and under and 12 and over, so everyone has a chance to participate. We can’t wait to see all of the amazing costumes!
To participate, submit a photo of your costume to office@newdurhamest.com and list your name and age group. Photos will be accepted until November 1st at midnight. We will announce the winner on our social media.
New Durham Estates Trick-or-Treating
Halloween isn’t complete without trick-or-treating! Our community trick-or-treat night is on Saturday, October 31st from 5 to 7 p.m. We welcome the Westville community, family, friends, and local trick-or-treaters to join us for an evening at New Durham Estates. Get your costumes and treat bags ready for a spooktacular night!
